So it's a new day today, which means another day of crime. Today is a day devoted towards the psychology of violent offenders such as Serial Killers, Mass Murders, Rapists, The focus is on the types of Serial Killers.
THE OFFICIAL ANALYSIS OF DANGEROUS OFFENDERS BY THE FBI-BEHAVIOR ANALYSIS UNIT
The Behavior analysis unit defines Serial Killers as people who murder 3 people with a cooling off period in between. Killers such as Bundy, Dahmer, Gacy, Ramirez, Williams, Wuornos are all placed in certain categories. The categories contain organized, mixed, and unorganized. To determine the behavior the killer attributed at the crime scene these categories come into view.
ORGANIZED SERIAL KILLERS
Organized killers are those who reflect control and aggression prior to death by hiding the weapon/s and transporting the victim. Restraints are usually used. Good example of these killers include Ted Bundy, and John Wayne Gacy. Organized Killers are incredibly intelligent, they will leave little evidence to none at the crime scene. Organized Killers can be active and may appear wealthy or in the middle class. They tend to be mobile killers, and are attracted to the media to see what the media views of them.
DISORGANIZED SERIAL KILLERS
Disorganized Serial Killers tend to have minimal restraints, may have sexual acts after death, the body is left at the scene of crime. The Milwaukee Cannibal would fit this profile. Unorganized Killers tend to leave alot of evidence at the crime scene and are not very wealthy and tend to be part of the lower class. May have an absent or unstable father, may have been a highschool dropout, poor hygiene, attacks in a blitz pattern".
WHAT CAN WE LEARN FROM THESE TYPES OF KILLERS?
Serial Killers do not appear as monsters in fact if you were to meet them in person you would find that they appear charming, intelligent, sincere, gentle, kind, and very sweet. Serial Killers can be your brother, sister, father, uncle, aunt, friend, they can be someone you know. Though they are savage and dangerous horrible humans, we must learn to prevent more situations like this from happening, we must learn to use crime scene analysis, and use our understanding of these killers in order to change them and help protect the world from others being killed.
