I can not think when their is stress. My mind becomes dizzy, I feel lightweight and I become very lethargic. Especially when it comes to tests and my running. When I get to the starting line of any roadrace, xc, track, my legs get weak and I feel like I want to throw up. The stress comes from the need to win especially in meets where I am ranked first. I get really weak and I try to clear the nervousness but sometimes it just stays within me until I can fuel it into adrenaline. As I arrive at the road race, I grab my pin number and I stretch out, but I also try my best to control the nervousness. My stomach gets tight as people come up to me and ask me "Are you going to win the race?", and as I step up to the line people point at me and say "that guy is going to win it". The pressure gets to me, now I have to win because people are looking at me specifically and they've heard about my success and expect me to win.
